Call Right Now for New York Election Reform for November and Beyond!
I am worried about the November Election. The president seems intent on disrupting it by any means possible to secure victory for himself. Governor Cuomo seems uncncerned about longstanding voting issues in New York State. Many of us have spent much time talking about the problems of the New York State primary. This is necessary and helpful but only if it leads to action and change for this November and beyond.
There is action you can take right now, today and everyday — three phone calls.
Call Governor Cuomo at 518–474–8390 or 212–681–4580
In July the New York State legislature passed seven important election reform bills. Four will make a HUGE immediate difference for voters in November and all will make a huge difference far into the future. Governor Cuomo must sign these bills into law ASAP.

Call your Assembly Member (find them here bit.ly/2019NYreps) and Speaker Heastie at (518) 455–3791
The New York State senate passed two additional bills that will significantly help voters in preparation for the November election. Call your Assembly Member and Speaker Heastie and tell them to finish the job and pass these bills. It is likley that they will go back into session in late August.
- Bill Nos. S6463 / A8473 — Online voter registration for NYC.
- Bill Nos. S2311 / A116 — This bill would move the deadline for registering to vote forward from 25 days before the election to 10 days — the constitutional minimum.
If you are calling the Governor, your Assembly Member, and the Speaker about other issues, please add this on or call twice. Please call everyday until these bills are law. Don’t forget, and it might be worthwhile to remind them when you call, that they work for us.
